Whats the best adhesive to bond plastic to metal?
The velcro fasteners on my vehicle’s headliner have lost their adhesive and it’s annoying the heck out of me. The headliner sags just low enough to rest lightly on my head while driving and I want that space back. I want a permanent solution… an adhesive that I can apply to the backside of the existing velcro fasteners and stick it back to metal. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Real simple just take the headliner down, peel it completely off, and use headliner adhesive. 3M makes it link to what it looks like http://www.adhesivesandtapes.com/3madhese.htm spray it on the fiber board, put the fabric back down on the board, let it sit for an hour put it back up then finish off the corners. You have to take it down otherwise it will come down in other areas. It is a 2 hour job with wait time.
